16-year boy killed during Eid-ul-Adha fanfare by stray bullet
- A 16-year old boy has been killed by a stray bullet
- Arrangements are being made by the family to bury him on Eid day.
- The sad incident took place just after Eid-Prayers
Today marks an important day for Muslims across the world as they celebrate Eid-ul-Adha but not for the family of the 16-year-old who lost his life on the day. The sad incident occurred in Aboabo Number Two located in the Asokore Mampong Municipality of the Ashanti region.

According to the information gathered so far, the victim who was identified as Abdul-Gafar Kassim was rushed to the Manhyia Government Hospital however he was pronounced dead at the hospital later.
The uncle of the deceased confirmed the news.
While granting an interview to the press after the incident, the uncle of the deceased indicated that their religion did not permit them to keep the body of the deceased at the mortuary for long hence they had visited the health facility to claim the body for burial.

According to witnesses on the ground, some youth at the grounds who were wielding guns started to brandish their weapons. They fired warning shots as part of the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations and in the process, a bullet caught Abdul-Gafar Kassim which led to his death. The boy killed during Eid-ul-Adha is expected to be laid to rest today.

The Ghana Police Crime Scene Department Officers from the Ashanti Regional Command have been deployed to the scene to access the current situation. The general public is expecting the police to arrest those who were brandishing their weapons which lead to the fatality.
