Kintampo MP quizzed Hon. Health Minister on govt plans to upgrade Kintampo Municipal Hospital to teaching hospital
The workaholic Hon MP for Kintampo North Constituency, Mr. Joseph Kwame Kumah a.k.a Hon Jakala on Tuesday, 27th July 2021 had yet another opportunity on the floor of the august house to asked on behalf of the Kintampo North people if the government has plans of upgrading the Kintampo Municipal Hospital to a Teaching Hospital.
Why the MP for Kintampo North Constituency asked this question?
By the current government’s plans, certain major projects for the newly created regions are to be spread to other parts of the regions and so in the Bono East, whilst the Regional Health Administration is located in Kintampo, Nkoranza is penciled for the Regional Hospital.
However, considering the rampant and perennial Mass Casualty cases (RTA) on that stretch of the road and how dangerous and numerous lives are being lost, the young Hon Member of Parliament is seeking to bring government attention to making the hospital a Teaching Hospital, which when considered would make available a lot of facilities to solve Trauma, Paediatric, Radiological, Orthopaedic, Neurological, Urological, Pathological, Obstetric cases and many more of such which are for now lacking in the center of the universe town.
What else could a representative of the people say as their mouthpiece?
Responding to his thought-provoking question(s), the Hon Health Minister indicated a committee has been set up to come out with a report within 2 months on the issue.
