However, those seeking to take advantage of this would need to meet extra requirements for in-Stream Ads for On-Demand, Fan Subscriptions, Stars, In-Stream Ads for Live and Brand Collaborations.
If you use Instant Articles, you and if applicable, the entity you represent must comply with our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities (SRR), Facebook Page Terms, and the following policies.
Creators are advised to read and understand Facebook’s content policy and also ensure websites submitted are stable, complete, easy to navigate, and user-friendly and further reflect a positive experience devoid of broken links. Although only old sites are eligible, Facebook has not indicated how old a website should be to qualify for monetization. For new sites, owners must ensure their sites are functioning and with a well-established presence before they opt for the Instant Articles. This will ensure that they get approval from Facebook.
Websites or blogs that require visitors to log in before they are permitted to access content are also not eligible unless your “website’s content is only available to people with paid subscriptions.” according to Facebook. Content that must be avoided when using Facebook content monetization
According to Facebook, publishers would be penalized if they include but not limited to “pornography, adult products or services, sexual tips or fetishes, casual dating, violence, hacking or cracking, weapon sales, online real money games of chance or skill, work-at-home schemes, spy cameras, fake news or anything that falls within any other categories that are prohibited by the Facebook Community Standards, with the exception of apps or sites that display news editorials featuring the above content or if you have our prior written permission.”
Content that does not meet our Content Guidelines for Monetization may be ineligible for monetization.
For the purposes of payment, users will have to provide additional information such as their tax info, routing, and bank account numbers when setting up the account. Users who are not conversant with the routing and bank account should contact their local backing for the exact routing account for a problem-free and prompt payment.
One of the important requirements of Facebook is that publishers must only monetize content that they have created themselves. Only websites owned by you can be monetized. The registration process will require that the creators prove they actually own the website (Claim Domain) they want to monetize on Facebook.
A publisher is also required to furnish Facebook with sample articles and the page for a final review. This will creators to “Add 10 Production Articles for Review” according to Facebook.
