- Let’s fight complacency at all levels
The ruling New Patriotic Party has launched its strategy to break the 8 years thus two terms rotation of the NPP and NDC. According to the party, it is determined to ensure that, the ruling NPP goes beyond the usual two terms since the 4th republic commenced.
To achieve this, Mr Salam Mustapha, Director of Programmes at the Office of the Vice President has called on members of the party to help break the Eight (8) ahead of the 2024 general elections.
He challenged the youth of the NPP not to think the 2024 general elections was going to be a walkover for the NPP.
He made this known during an interview on Kingdom FM’s afternoon Show ‘Pae Mu Ka’, monitored by Ghana24.org.
He stated that the success of the party was going to depend on the work of the party youth going into the 2024 election.
Mr. Salam Mustapha said: “The task is not only into the 2024 election but beyond, we cannot be complacent.”
In comparing the votes obtained by the NPP’s presidential candidate President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2016 and 2020, he said the New Patriotic Party must sit up since there is so much that needs to be done devoid of any form of complacency.
He further charged the youth to prevent apathy from setting and promised that every one of them will be catered for by the Akufo-Addo’s administration.
“As we resolve to break the eight, let us at the same time rededicate ourselves to the unfinished task that lies ahead; the task of completing, consolidating, and continuing the good works of the Nana Addo-led Administration”, he appealed.
