Scam Alert: Be wary of FAKE protocol e-recruitment portal – Ministry of Information

• FAKE protocol e-recruitment portal warning from the Ministry of Information.
• The Ministry has called on the public to be alert and not fall scammed.

The Ministry of Information has advised Ghanaians to be wary of a fake portal that is purporting to be recruiting Ghanaian youth into various positions in government agencies and the civil service in general.

According to the Ministry of Information, the fake e-recruitment is acting as though it is from the Public Relations Department of the Ghana Armed Forces.

The general public is advised to disregard all advertisements emanating from the fake portal.  The press statement furthered that, the fake e-portal being used for the fake recruitment of Ghanaians into the Ghana Armed Forces, Ghana Police Service, Ghana Immigration Service, Ghana National Service, Ghana Revenue Authority, and the Ghana Ambulance Service.

The MoI further disclosed that the fake e-recruitment portal is also charging unsuspecting applicants processing fees through a Momo number bearing the name of one Thomas Oppong.

The ministry, therefore, advised the public to take note of the fake e-recruitment portal so as not be become victims of such organized crime.

However, the Ministry of Information did not disclose the name or URL of the said FAKE protocol e-recruitment portal.
