Private school teachers to receive Core i7 laptops with routers- It’s “POWERFUL” than GES laptop
The government’s one teacher one laptop policy will be rolled out soon, however, the Private school teachers’ version which will see teachers receive Core i7 laptops with routers to be distributed is more powerful than the GES laptops.
A total of200,000 brand new state-of-the-art core i7 laptops with routers will be distributed to private schools teachers across the country who have registered with the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS).
These laptops are of higher quality than that of the Ghana Education Service (GES) and the routers they come and the features they come with add more value to them.
says it will after Monday, August 2, 2021, distribute 200,000 brand new state-of-the-art core i7 laptops with routers to private schools teachers in the country.
Teachers who will receive the state-of-the-art core i7 laptops with routers will be required to make a monthly repayment of GHS159.00 for three years to cover the cost of the devices. This adds up to GHS5742 to be paid over the three years. That of Public Schools teaches are expected to be distributed soon starting from Senior High Schools. The cost of the public schools one teacher one laptop will be shared between the government and teachers in the ratio of 7:3 respectively with teachers repayment spread over a period.
Teachers who are interested in paying 30 percent of the cost of the laptop ought to have signed a consent form that would have formed the premise to produce a number of laptops in order to prevent waste of public funds.
According to the spokesperson of GNACOPS, Mr. Samuel Nyamekye, the i7 laptops with Wi-Fi Internet connectivity is expected to be used by teachers to improve teaching and learning in private schools.
“We are launching the i7 laptops, tablets for private school teachers and students across the country tomorrow in the Ashanti region. This is aimed at sharing 200,000 Laptops with routers to the teachers for them to pay over 36 months,”
The Laptop distribution event was launched in the Ashanti Region ahead of the distribution of one (1) million educational tablets with Wi-Fi Internet connectivity to students in private schools across the country.
‘The Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) will from August 3, 2021, give 1 million educational tablets for all the students to connect to global education platforms such CISCO, FaceBook, and Google Academy.” he stated.

“GNACOPS is in partnership with Celtel Networks Limited and P2S Ghana limited to provide internet connectivity with the highest speed to all private schools and teachers in Ghana to boost educational delivery,” he told EducationWeb.
