According to eyewitnesses, the suspect, who has been terrorizing residents in the area, approached the little girl in front of her house and smashed her head on the ground multiple times without any provocation. The mother, Abigail Bonko, was cooking in the kitchen when she heard her daughter’s cries and rushed to her aid, only to find her lying in a pool of blood.

The victim was initially taken to the Agona Duakwa Salvation Army Hospital, but due to the severity of her injuries, she was referred to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital and later transferred to Korle-bu Teaching Hospital. The mother is distraught and appealing for financial support to fund her daughter’s treatment, as the hospital has requested immediate payment to save her daughter’s life.

The mother’s anguish is palpable as she struggles to come to terms with the brutality of the attack. “I was cooking in the kitchen when I heard my daughter’s cries. I rushed to her aid, and what I saw was devastating. The man had smashed her head on the ground multiple times, and she was lying in a pool of blood. I’m appealing to anyone who can help me to come forward and assist me in saving my daughter’s life,” she said in tears.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with residents expressing their outrage and sadness at the brutal attack on an innocent child. The police have arrested the suspect and are investigating the incident. However, the community is demanding justice and calling for measures to be put in place to ensure the safety of children in the area.

The victim’s condition is critical, and her mother is racing against time to raise funds for her treatment.
