Try sticking to a regular sleep routine by going to bed and waking up at the same time every day. Avoid napping and keep your bedroom free of distractions like computers and TVs. These changes could help you sleep better over time.
- Take on responsibilities – Even when depression tempts you to withdraw from life, staying involved in daily responsibilities at home and work can help combat it. These tasks provide a sense of grounding and accomplishment.
- Try to challenge negative thoughts – Much of the battle against depression involves changing negative thought patterns.
