Parrot Mouth accuses Funny Face of taking payment but failing to perform at his show

Parrot Mouth, a Nigerian comedian based in Ghana, has expressed his disappointment and frustration with Funny Face’s unprofessional behavior regarding a business agreement they entered into last year. In an interview with Hitz FM’s Doreen Avio, Parrot Mouth revealed that Funny Face breached their performance contract by failing to perform at his comedy event, “Laugh it Off,” on April 30, 2024, at the AIS Auditorium, despite being paid half of the agreed-upon fee.

The event featured a lineup of comedians, including Funny Face, Akpororo, and others. According to Parrot Mouth, Funny Face had agreed to receive the remaining payment after the show, but later demanded full payment before performing. Despite agreeing to this change, Funny Face failed to show up, leaving Parrot Mouth and his team stranded.

Parrot Mouth described the incident, stating that they had asked Funny Face to come backstage to finalize the payment, but he refused, demanding full payment before entering the auditorium. Despite assurances that the money was on its way, Funny Face left the premises without performing, ignoring over 50 calls from Parrot Mouth and his team.

Since then, Funny Face has not reached out or refunded the money, leaving Parrot Mouth feeling disrespected and betrayed. However, Parrot Mouth is moving forward, preparing for the 2024 edition of “Laugh it Off” on April 28, 2024, at the AIS Auditorium, featuring a new lineup of comedians, including DKB, Khemikal, Putogo, Pararan, Akpororo, and Real Warri Pikin.

Parrot Mouth’s experience serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of professionalism and integrity in the entertainment industry. While Funny Face has yet to respond to the allegations, Parrot Mouth’s commitment to his craft and his audience remains unwavering.
