Urawa Red Diamonds 0-3 Man City: Pep Guardiola’s side stroll into Club World Cup final

City, managed by Pep Guardiola, are aiming to join Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea as English club champions of the Club World Cup. Friday’s final match against Fluminense will be played following an own goal by Marius Hoibraten, as well as goals by Mateo Kovacic and Bernardo Silva.

In Tuesday’s 3-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds at the King Abdullah Sports City stadium, Manchester City advanced to face Fluminense of Brazil in the Club World Cup final.

In the 52nd minute, Mateo Kovacic doubled City’s lead. A few minutes later, Bernardo Silva’s attempt was deflected, allowing City to coast for the remainder of the game.
City, managed by Pep Guardiola, are aiming to join Manchester United, Liverpool, and Chelsea as the fourth English team to win the title. Prior to this, they had only won three of their last eight games in all competitions.

In Monday’s Copa Libertadores match, they defeated Al-Ahly of Egypt 2-0, thus they’ll be heavy favourites to win Friday’s final.

At 6 o’clock on Friday (GMT), the Club World Cup final will pit Man City against Fluminense of Brazil. On December 27 (kickoff: 8.15pm), Pep Guardiola’s squad will play their Premier League match at Everton.
