Despite his distance from Accra, his parents instilled in him a strong sense of Ga culture and language, which he gratefully acknowledges. His father, a renowned architect and academic, taught him the importance of tradition and service to community. Nii Teiku Tsuru II’s upbringing in Kumasi shaped his perspective, and he never imagined himself as a traditional leader.

However, fate had other plans. During his national service at GBC in Accra, he discovered the city’s diverse suburbs and communities, kindling a new appreciation for his roots. This experience sparked a desire to reconnect with his Ga heritage, leading him to explore his family’s history and cultural traditions.

As he delved deeper into his roots, Nii Teiku Tsuru II began to realize the significance of his ancestry and the responsibility that came with it. He started attending Ga cultural events and participating in traditional ceremonies, slowly embracing his destiny as a leader.

Eventually, the call to serve as Ga Mantse came, and Nii Teiku Tsuru II accepted the challenge. Today, he is dedicated to uplifting his people, promoting Ga culture, and supporting education and development initiatives through the Ga Mantse Foundation.

His journey serves as a testament to the power of heritage and the unexpected paths life can take. From his humble beginnings to his current position as paramount chief, Nii Teiku Tsuru II’s story inspires a deeper appreciation for tradition, culture, and the importance of embracing one’s roots.
