Covid-19 Delta Variant: New safest way to slow the spread – Health experts

The Covid-19 Delta Variant is nearly everywhere around the world and is spreading at a faster rate than previous variants. 

Health experts are beginning to outline the best way to deal with the new variant of Covid-19 which is taking a long time to deal with when it affects an individual. 

In New York City, for instance, health experts have advised that wearing masks in all kinds of indoor settings may be the safest way to slow the spread of the delta variant.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has therefore revised guidelines on wearing masks on Tuesday 27th July 2021.

It has also asked all persons who have been vaccinated should also wear nose masks indoors especially if they live in hotspots with a significant or high spread rate.

“This was not a decision that was taken lightly,” said CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, acknowledging that people are “tired and frustrated.”

But she pointed to new data showing that while vaccinated people still account for a very small amount of risk, in rare cases they can get infected and spread the virus to others.

“The delta variant is showing every day its willingness to outsmart us,” Walensky said.

The Covid-19 Delta Variant is proving to the difficult to deal with but health experts are monitoring it globally and providing remedies to deal with it that suit the local environment rather than a global standard that may not work in all places.

The highly transmissible delta variant continues to lead to sharp surges in Covid-9 cases around.

For persons who have dropped their guard and those who seem not to care about the dangers of not observing the safety protocols for their own safety and that of the larger society, law enforcement officers, governments, and the right-thinking members of the general public must apply the wipe, counsel people and provide the necessary logistics to ensure the world does not go back to the lock-down era of Covid-19.
