Govt to spend 35 million on PASCO for 2021 WASSCE candidates
The government of Ghana in an effort to sustain or improve the gains of the Free SHS and the results it chocked in the 2020 examination after committing a total of GHS33641043.75 to the procurement of past questions for the candidates.
The 2021 WASSCE for school candidates would have their share of the past questions as the government has committed another GHS34,862,568 towards the 446,954 units of WASSCE past question booklets The Ministry procured the past WASSCE questions at a cost of GHS78.00 per unit. This year’s total past questions to be procured has reduced by some 121801 copies compare to that of 2020.
According to information available to this Ghana24.org, a total of 466,954 sets of questions will be purchased to help the candidates prepare for the upcoming examinations.

One of the key practices that help students to excel is the practicing of how to answer past questions. These questions offer the candidates the chance to practice how to answer questions, identify their weaknesses, and help in self-assessment.
The procurement was funded from the Free Senior High School Account. The good results recorded by the first batch of the Free SHS policy introduced by the Akuffo Addo-led administration called for the repetition of the support to the 2021 candidates. The candidates will be the second batch of graduates to exit the Free SHS when they take their final examination in September 2021.

The PASCO for 2021 WASSCE candidates is expected to motivate candidates to prepare well for the West African Examination.
